After earning a second-place finish during the regular season, Texas traveled to Kansas City looking to win another conference tournament title. As the two seed, the Longhorns drew a surging Kansas Jayhawks team looking for revenge.

Junior guard Rori Harmon continues to make an impact after injury

The buzzer sounded and the Moody Center erupted in cheers as the Longhorns upset the No. 2 Kansas State Wildcats in a game in which the energy and attendance matched Texas’ earlier game in the season against UConn. The main difference between those games, however, was the absence of Rori Harmon.

Texas veterans lead the way in win against Cincinnati

Just three days ago, the Texas Longhorns fell to rival Oklahoma in a tightly contested game. After that game, head coach Vic Schaefer questioned his team’s effort. In response, the Longhorns dominated the Cincinnati Bearcats at home 67-50.

In the home win against the Bearcats, the Longhorns had to live life without another impactful player as the Longhorns had already lost junior guard Rori Harmon. Freshman point guard Madison Booker sat on the bench with an injured hamstring.
